This affordable 10 day Honeymoon begins with a few days spent in the “Mother City” of Cape Town, then spending a couple of day relaxing among rolling Vineyards in the Winelands. Your trip will end with the highlight of a safari in the Kruger National Park.

The flexibility of this self-drive Honeymoon will allow you the flexibility to enjoy each and every day to it’s fullest, all at your own pace.

Itinerary

Day 1 – 4: Your Honeymoon Begins – Arrival in Cape Town

Arrive at Cape Town Airport, and collect your hire car. Your Honeymoon has begun! After being handed over your travel pack drive through to the centre of Cape Town, where you will be spending the following four days at the lovely Victoria & Alfred Hotel, situated in the middle of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront – outlined by the backdrop of Table Mountain.

Spend the new few days exploring all that Cape Town has to offer – endless white beaches, Cape Point, Boulders Penguin Beach or perhaps spend the morning walking through the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Enjoy a taste of history – Robben Island awaits or one of the city’s historical museums.

Shop up a storm at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront or enjoy a meal at one of Cape Town’s top restaurants.

Day 5 – 6: Head off to the Winelands of the Cape

Today you will depart Cape Town and take a leisurely drive to the French Huguenot town of Franschhoek – spending two nights at Franschhoek Country House. Franschhoek offers a wealth of history, award winning wine estates and beautiful architecture.

Visit Wine estates in Fraschhoek and the surrounding areas of Stellenbosch & Paarl surrounded by rolling vineyards.

Day 7 – 9: Your Safari Awaits You!

Drop off your hire car at Cape Town Airport, and board a domestic flight to Hoedspruit, near the Kruger National Park [ Direct flights from Cape Town operate on certain days of the week only, on other days your flight will go via Johannesburg ]

On arrival at Hoedspruit Airport, you will be met and transferred via a road transfer to the luxurious Elephant Plains Game Lodge, where you will be spending the last three nights of your Honeymoon.

Elephant Plains Game Lodge is situated in the game-rich Sabi Sands concession in the Greater Kruger National Park – hosting a wide array of animals and all of the Big Five.

Enjoy two game drives per day – one in the morning and one late afternoon into the evening in search of the elusive leopard! Optional bush walks during the day with trackers to further explore the flora, fauna and the smaller animals are available.

Day 10: Bid Farewell to the Bush

Today you will enjoy your last early morning game drive in the Sabi Sands, followed by a hearty breakfast.

Road transfer to Hoedspruit Airport, and a connecting flight from Hoedspruit back to Johannesburg.
