I dreamed of Africa
Africa: from the vast plains of the Serengeti to the breath-taking splendour of ‘The Smoke that Thunders’, it has always been representative of adventure, of raw, unbridled natural beauty and of the call of the wild.
If you’ve spent any amount of time in your life dreaming of walking in the footsteps of Sir David Livingstone or seeing for yourself the migration of the herds (and not through a screen via NatGeo Wild), then you’ve come to the right place.
If you say “I’ve dreamed of Africa”, we say we’re here to make those dreams come true. It’s simply a question of choosing where and when you’d like to start?
Choose Your Own Adventure
What captures your imagination more? – Gliding over the waters of the Chobe in a mokoro to sip sundowners in the Delta at dusk with the hippos and crocs but a stone’s throw away? (This is a particularly special option since this pristine wilderness area is under threat and shrinking – how incredible to be able to say you’ve spent time there, in the thick of it.
Perhaps what raises your heart rate is the thought of a train trip in the luxury of yesteryear aboard the infamous Rovos Rail into ‘the land God created in anger’, the ‘Forbidden Land’, Namibia? Here you can embark on a 9-day adventure of discovery that will take you on a 3 400km journey through some of the most scenic and historically important areas of Southern Africa.

What You’ll Need:
-Your spirit of adventure
-Comfortable shoes and clothing (safari outfits are not required unless the Instagram fashion police who follow you deem it necessary, then by all means indulge but ideally you’ll need sturdy, comfortable walking shoes and gear that is easy to wear in both hot and cooler weather)
-Your camera gear (obviously!)
-Binoculars are optional
-Patience (it’ll be more than worthwhile in the end!) Wild animals are sometimes unpredictable and you may need to be prepared to spend time waiting on their movements to get the best possible sightings during game drives.
