Cybele Forest Lodge & Spa is a luxury retreat situated in the heart of Mpumulanga, and perfectly situated between Hazyview and White River, making this luxury retreat the ideal location to explore the Panoramic Route, including the Mac Mac Falls, God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the Blyde River Canyon and Pilgrim’s Rest.

At Cybele there is so much to explore including forest walks to the nearby waterfall, the panorama route, helicopter flips, and spa treatments at our world renowned Clarins Spa in the Forest or simply soaking up the warm sun at one of the swimming pools. But, at the end of the day, it’s about getting away from it all and simply relaxing in the calm of a living forest.

The Forest Health Spa at Cybele

Cybele Forest Lodge offers a superb health and beauty Spa – Guests at Cybele are now able to indulge in a full range of treatments at this world-famous forest hideaway. Highly experienced staff has designed a wide range of programmes and massage treatments to relax the body and enrich the soul. Products used are OPI, Clarins and Moya an African inspired range.

The addition of The Forest Health Spa at Cybele ensures the most perfect and relaxing holiday imaginable.

Cybele Lodge has accommodation limited to a total of 28 guests across 12 Cottages and Suites, each being individually decorated and personalised. All Suites and Cottages have been neatly walled-in and are screened from their neighbours offering exceptional privacy – all by design.

Cybele has 6 Cottages [ 3 Garden Cottages & 3 Luxury Cottages] all which offer exclusivity. These are made up of Cottages and Luxury Cottages.

This accommodation is generally larger than that of the Cottages with (the Paddock Suites) having thatch roofs. Suties are the ultimate in luxury accommodation, with attention to detail and finishing, and each having a private, heated swimming pool, log fireplace and so much more “added value”.

Cybele is situated at 1000 metres or 3000 feet above sea level and so avoids the really intense heat and humidity that can sometimes be experienced in Mpumalanga during thesummer months. For this reason particularly, it is an ideal stop off point on the way in or out of the game reserves.

What is there to do?

The best thing to do at Cybele is to relax. There are superb walks on the 300 acre property which is down through the forest to the river and along to the waterfall. Many guests use Cybele as a base to explore Mpumalanga or to venture into the Kruger Park for the day. Fantastic activities in the area are available such as exciting helicopter adventures and hot air balloon safaris. Golf, Tennis and Squash are available nearby. Cybele has a large heated main pool for year round swimming.

A stay at Cybele Forest Lodge & Spa is perfect for Honeymooners, those who simply wish to relax in a beautiful and tranquil environment or for those who wish to enjoy a few nights along the Panoramic Route before enjoying a Big Five Safari in the famous Kruger National Park.
