Africa’s first truly luxury resort, located on the Eastern Head of Knysna on the exquisite coastline of the Western Cape, is a sanctuary of privacy and indulgence created to reflect the natural beauty of its surrounds.
Set on a stunning 1,000 ha estate, known for its secluded beach, sweeping fynbos landscapes and ancient indigenous forests, the Pezula Resort has breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean, the Knysna Lagoon and the Outeniqua Mountains
With its gourmet cuisine, sumptuous accommodation, world-class spa, championship golf course and vast range of outdoor activities, the hotel offers guests an essentially African experience in a relaxed environment.
The warm hospitality of the staff is underpinned by outstanding personalised service, unsurpassed levels of luxury and unswerving attention to detail.
Guests can choose to relax in their spacious suites, indulge in the award-winning spa or laze at the heated pool or on secluded Noetzie Beach. Or get active and participate in some of the exhilarating activities on the resort. Play a game of tennis at the Field of Dreams, or a round of golf on the
Championship Course. Take a guided hike through the indigenous forest, learning about the ancient trees and plants with their medicinal properties – you will spot some of the many species of bird and animal life which have made their home here. Canoe along the pristine Noetzie River to one of the most beautiful beaches in Africa where your picnic lunch awaits you. Enjoy local oysters and a glass of bubbly on the terrace of a romantic beach castle before you head back to your luxury suite to dress for dinner.
78 exquisitely appointed suites in free-standing two-tiered villas (four to a villa) are linked by short landscaped pathways to the nearby main building and accessed by foot or battery operated golf carts.
All suites maximise the spectacular views of the Knysna Lagoon or Indian Ocean and the Pezula Championship Golf Course, and are decorated in a Contemporary African style, with warm earth tones predominating.
Suites are utterly indulgent, completely private and exude a sense of luxury and comfort from the real log fireplaces to the underfloor heating in the bathrooms.
